Fighting Fitness Judo Shines at Bishop’s Stortford Competition

Our Young Judokas Make Us Proud at Bishop’s Stortford

This weekend, our young team from Fighting Fitness Judo headed to Bishop’s Stortford for another exciting children’s judo competition—and they did not disappoint!

With determination, teamwork, and great spirit, our judokas competed against children from clubs across the region. For many of our members, this was another step in their journey to becoming confident, skilled martial artists.

Here’s how they did:

🥇 Gold Medalists

  • Anastasia Turner

  • Maisie Chang

  • Eric Skillcorn

🥈 Silver Medalists

  • Seth Dean

  • Harvey Mathie

  • Leo Colburn

🥉 Bronze Medalists

  • Georgie Jones

  • Zeth Lewis

  • Ben Griffiths

  • Billy Mathie
  • Rowan Joyes

  • Freddie Hounsell

  • Kody Anderson

  • David Stratton

We’re incredibly proud of every child who stepped on the mat. Whether it was their first or fifth competition, each of them showed courage, respect, and the Fighting Fitness spirit from start to finish.

Why We Compete

At Fighting Fitness Judo, we believe competition plays a vital role in our students’ development. It’s not just about medals—it’s about learning to win with humility and lose with grace. It’s about handling nerves, staying focused under pressure, and celebrating effort as much as success.

Competitions like this help build:

✅ Confidence
✅ Resilience
✅ Focus
✅ Goal-setting skills
✅ Real-life experience beyond the dojo

Thank You to Our Families and Coaches

These results wouldn’t be possible without the support of our amazing coaching team and families who cheer their children on every step of the way. Your encouragement means the world to our young athletes.
