Our Tigers coach Dawn is phenomenal at what she does!
Teaching 3 and 4 year olds is no mean feat, and she totally smashes it every week.
But this feedback was on another level.

She is progressing up to the next age group class.
It got us thinking. We really need to understand what we are doing that makes this magical thing happen.
It’s unlikely they were in tears over the amazing quality of the judo coaching… although it is great!
It’s also unlikely they were in tears over the good level of discipline on the class…
?? ??? ????? ??? ???????????? ???? ??? ?????.
They will miss each other.
They have built up trust and a special connection.

We’re not talking about a huge amount of time spent together. 14 months attending a weekly 40 minute class.
Here’s why Dawn is so incredible at what she does, and how she can build such special connections with the children she teaches.
We can all learn something from Dawn.
1 – She listens with her heart. She really listens. The children feel heard and appreciated.
2 – She LOVES what she does (and the kids and parents can see that!).
3 – She cares about the children as individual people.
4 – She smiles a lot when she is coaching.
5 – She gets down to the kids level and makes eye contact.
6 – She is authentic.
7 – She has been hurt deeply (emotionally and physically) in the past and judo has saved her.

This incredible feedback really goes to the heart of what we do at Fighting Fitness Judo.
Our goal is to make a positive change in peoples lives through our judo classes.
And we are absolutely smashing our goal!!
